The Great Space Coaster

This project was for The Children's Hospital at Saint Francis in Tulsa, Oklahoma. There was already a loose space theme they had committed to and images that needed to remain in the flooring. Part of coming up with ideas is adapting to what you have to work with. The hospital was not in a place to do floor replacement, so I looked at colors in the flooring and got to work on picking things to bring out what they already had. Space can be a challenging theme for a place where you want to keep the light. We placed more purples and kept the colors vibrant. The goal was to make it rich in color and not look like a scary void. We managed to create windows into a fun ScribbeVerse while including some rocketship illustrations highlighting breathing treatments.
