Into the 3rd Dimension

I wanted this group of 3D pieces to have its section, but they are part of a larger body of works for The Children's Hospital at Saint Francis in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They accompany murals on two different patient floors. One has a Space theme, and the second has an Ocean theme. These pieces on the patient floor are placed strategically in a sizeable doughnut-like layout. The patients can take UV flashlights and activate different parts of the diorama's interiors. These pieces encourage them to walk more and explore while making measurable distances. My wife Alisa is a talented fiber artist and made the characters for the space theme and the backgrounds for the fish theme. I made some fish and also painted parts in all of them. We enjoy getting the chance to bring our two worlds together and add to the ScribbleVERSE!
