I traveled to Denver to do a mural for The Denver Basic Income Project. My friend Este and I created a design that told a story about who they are trying to reach and support. The Denver Basic Income Project believes that providing direct cash payments to the unhoused empowers individuals to make decisions to suit their needs best and provides dignity and agency over their lives. They work alongside partners long invested in the care and success of their homeless neighbors. Together with their trust, they will transform how people rise.

Este and I painted the piece in several days and included their website and a QR code on the building that takes people to their Instagram. We installed a vinyl piece over the windows that was removable and photographed that section to print a window perf graphic of the same area that allows the building owners to still see out of the window.
