Z50

I wanted to share this project because it was such a special experience working on it with my son, Jonah. At a young age, he's developed an incredible skill for working on small motors and rebuilding two-stroke mopeds. I found a Honda Z50 as a "barn find" and we brought it home for him to restore. After getting it up and running and repainting all the parts, I was asked to add some artistic touches to it. Watching it all come together inspired a new character for my Resound Fieldsseries, so I created a 3D version of him, and our collaboration was even featured in a gallery show.

After the show, Jonah was riding the bike when it sustained some damage, so he rebuilt it again. I also gave the bike a new paint job, which you can see in the updated photos. It’s been an awesome journey working together on this and seeing how it has evolved!
