Hawg Jaw BBQ

October has been a great month. The hospital illustration work continues to progress, and I got to do a quick mural for some new friends. This mural is with Hawg Jaw BBQ in North Kansas City. The owner, Nick, is also a fire captain, so I pitched an idea that brought those two worlds together. Some of the things I thought about were teamwork, leaning on others, and heroes. This project was not only a blast to work on, but the whole staff has been a pure joy to work with and get to know! This piece has helped make their location into a place that is impossible to miss and more accessible to give directions to while creating a piece of art that includes their identity without beating people over the head with it.
